Hard folding vs soft roll-up

BAK's BAKFlip MX4 is a hard cover: aluminum panels that fold up toward the cab and lock when the tailgate is shut. It costs a lot more, but it keeps tools a lot safer and you can set light stuff on it.

TruXedo's TruXport is a soft vinyl cover that rolls up toward the cab. It costs well under half as much, goes on in an afternoon and comes off fast, but it isn't a lock box. Someone with a knife can get in.

Measure the bed first

Every cover is cut for one bed length. On the 2021+ F-150 the short bed is 5 ft 7 in (sold as 5.5 ft), on the 2019+ Silverado and Sierra 1500 it's 5 ft 10 in (sold as 5.8 ft), and on the Ram 1500 it's 5 ft 7 in. Long beds are 6.5 ft or 6 ft 4 in. Measure inside the bed at the rail, bulkhead to closed tailgate.

F-150

For the 5.5 ft bed: BAKFlip MX4 448339 or TruXedo TruXport. The BAK listing also names the Raptor. All F-150 parts.

Silverado and Sierra 1500

For the 5 ft 10 in bed: BAKFlip MX4 448130 or TruXedo TruXport. Both work with the MultiPro and Multi-Flex tailgates. Neither fits the CarbonPro composite bed on some Sierra Denali and AT4 trucks.

Ram 1500

For the 5 ft 7 in bed: TruXedo TruXport, which the listing says works with or without the Multi-Function split tailgate. For the 6 ft 4 in bed: BAKFlip MX4, which does not fit the split tailgate. RamBox trucks need a RamBox-specific cover. All Ram 1500 parts.
